450 square metres of innovation-inspiring co-working space in the commercial heart of Lake Macquarie.
That's not enough information about the physical space, you say?
Well here's the site synopsis, straight from our designer, Emily Laird of LairdPAOLACCI.
"The holistic design approach was to seamlessly weave a thread of form and function throughout the entire space.
Office spaces can tend to be quite cold and sterile and therefore not very conducive to overall feelings of satisfaction. As a co-working space, we wanted to create a warm, inviting and professional environment where staff feel inspired yet relaxed.
Using timber screens and planter boxes, we managed to denote or imply designated zones without using conventional methods. We have created a selection of work spaces for different purposes and styles of working.
Each joinery piece has been designed and tailored specifically for DaSH, and each item of furniture was created for the space, rather than purchasing ‘off the shelf” items.
Harnessing the natural light was also crucial and as such the end result is a fresh and light filled working environment.
The use of warm materials and colours will ensure that this stunning office space has a long serviceable life visually. Rich timber heralds luxury and sophistication, while the use of warm greys create a feeling of modernity. The charcoal ceiling acts to visually create more a more cohesive and less expansive space. The kitchen materials used are stylish addition to the materials palette and help create understated elegance.
The end result is a dynamic and inspiring working space that is really quite unique and exciting."
